With more than 37 million units sold, it remains Europe's top-selling car. Now, marking its 50th anniversary, Volkswagen unveils the Golf Edition 50, a commemorative special model.
The Golf Edition 50 features distinctive Edition 50 logos on the front sill panel moldings and steering wheel, enhancing its exclusivity. Additionally, it includes brushed stainless steel pedal caps, a black headliner, and an upgraded infotainment system, as per Volkswagen. The Plus Package offers extras like a sliding panoramic sunroof, advanced LED headlights, and a head-up display.
The Golf Edition 50 comes with a "Discover" infotainment system featuring IDA voice assistant and navigation capabilities, along with driving profile selection, keyless start and locking system, and an anti-theft alarm.
The Volkswagen Golf Edition 50 offers a powertrain choice featuring a 1.5L TSI gasoline engine generating 148 horsepower, paired with a manual gearbox. In Germany, this model starts at €36,820 (AED 146,190.93), positioning it slightly above the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe in terms of pricing.
Alongside the launch of the Golf Edition 50, Volkswagen also celebrated the inception of the model, tracing its remarkable journey from its creation to its status as the most successful model in automotive history.
