Aston Martin has released images of its new supercar, designed by the company's in-house Q division. This exclusive model, called the Valiant, was personally commissioned for Fernando Alonso, the Aston Martin F1 team driver.
Only 38 units of the Aston Martin Valiant will be produced, featuring several intriguing upgrades chosen by Fernando Alonso. The car is customized to Alonso's personal preferences, and he is expected to drive the two-seat coupe during its launch next month at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Aston Martin has confirmed that all 38 Valiant units have been allocated worldwide. However, details about availability in New Zealand or Australia have not been disclosed. Fernando Alonso expressed his interest in the Valiant, which is derived from the Valour GT but upgraded for thrilling road driving and track-focused performance. The car features a sculpted exterior that embodies Alonso's passion for high-performance driving.
Similar to the Aston Martin Victor, the Valiant showcases retro-style round headlights. The two-door body has been widened with carbon-fiber body sections to enhance aerodynamic downforce. Formula One-style vortex generators have been added to improve high-speed stability.
Inside, the Valiant is equipped with racing seats that enhance its sporting character, accompanied by a manual gearbox lever.
The Aston Martin Valiant has received a power increase to 548 kW from its twin-turbo 5.2-liter V12 engine, matching the GT Valour’s 753 Nm torque. It features a six-speed manual gearbox, making it Aston Martin’s most powerful non-hybrid V12 with manual transmission. The Valiant’s driving modes have been recalibrated for optimal performance, and it is equipped with Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve (ASV) dampers.
The Aston Martin Valiant includes ASV dampers that offer suspension tuning comparable to motorsport standards, tailored for both road use and track customization. The car achieves significant weight savings through several components: a 3D-printed rear subframe that saves 3 kg, 21-inch forged alloy wheels reducing weight by 14 kg, a magnesium torque tube contributing an 8.6 kg reduction, and a race-spec 12V battery further reducing weight, though exact figures from Aston Martin are still pending confirmation.
