These rates took effect on July 1, 2024, and are scheduled to remain unchanged throughout the month. Fuel prices in the UAE typically undergo monthly revisions, with new updates anticipated in August 2024.

Petrol Diesel Price Changes In The UAE

• In June 2024, petrol prices went down by a maximum of AED 0.20, and diesel prices decreased by AED 0.19.

• As of July 2024, petrol prices have dropped by a maximum of AED 0.15, whereas diesel prices have risen by AED 0.01.

• In June, petrol prices decreased following four consecutive months of increases, while diesel prices saw their fourth decrease of the year.

• Petrol prices in July have dropped for the second month in a row.

With the recent drop in fuel prices, the per-kilometer running costs will see a notable reduction. Filling up your car's petrol tank is now more affordable compared to last month. Depending on the tank size, you could save between AED 6 and AED 20.25 on a full tank.

Before 2015, the government highly subsidised fuel prices. This protected prices from fluctuating. However, in September 2015, it was liberalised to align with global oil prices. The Fuel Price Committee decides fuel prices in the UAE and we can expect more changes over the next few months.
