After a slight uptick in February, the prices in the UAE decreased at March end. This fuel price drop came after a two-month price freeze between December and January. For EPlus 91, the effective price for March 2025 is set at AED 2.54, AED 2.55 for February 2025, and AED 2.61 for Special 95, a slight drop from AED 2.63. Additionally, the price for Super 98 dropped from AED 2.74 to AED 2.73. The current diesel price in UAE is set at AED 2.77 from AED 2.82 per liter. These fuel prices will be applicable from April 1, allowing car owners and drivers to buy fuel at low prices.

The crude oil prices fell on March 28 due to the uncertainty of a US tariff war that could lead to a global recession. Based on recent updates, Brent crude futures’ price dropped by 40 cents to settle at $73.63 per barrel, while the US West Texas Intermediate cruise futures closed at $69.36 per barrel after 56 56-cent drops. Effective April this year, the US President has already announced reciprocal tariffs to target a wide range of imports.

JPMorgan analysts have warned about the trade war and its impact on investors and global recessions. Energy Information Administration’s mid-week data showcased that US crude inventories decreased by 3.3 million barrels to 433.6 million last week. Earlier week, the Brent futures gained 1.9%, while WTI showed a rise of 1.6%. After touching a months-low in early March, Brent noticed over 7% growth while WIT revealed over 6% rise.
