In the same period, Toyota produced a total of 6,806,258 cars worldwide, with 4,463,823 coming from international plants and 2,324,435 from Japan. In August alone, North America produced 177,924 units, Asia (excluding Japan) made 268,719 units, and Japan manufactured 185,680 units.
