Hyundai hit a big milestone by producing 100 million cars worldwide in 57 years since starting in 1967. To celebrate, they handed over an all-electric Ioniq 5 as the 100 millionth car to its new owner.
The vehicle was revealed at the Ulsan Plant’s shipping center during a special ceremony. A "100 million and 1" display added meaning, highlighting Hyundai’s dedication to growing beyond its success and moving forward.

Hyundai has expanded globally, opening the Hyundai Motor Group Global Innovation Center in Singapore last year. This is its first smart factory for EVs, highlighting Hyundai's focus on clean mobility and sustainability. They are also planning the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America, aimed at eco-friendly production and efficiency.
Since the 1960s, Hyundai has grown rapidly, setting up plants in the U.S., India, Czech Republic, and Turkey. It took 46 years to reach 50 million units in 2013, and just 11 more years to hit 100 million.

Jaehoon Chang, Hyundai’s President and CEO, stated that reaching 100 million vehicles globally is a major achievement made possible by loyal customers. He stressed that innovation and bold challenges will drive the brand toward another 100 million units.
While Hyundai lacks a long motorsport history, it has become a key industry player by producing high-quality cars. The Veloster N is its first true performance vehicle, and the Ioniq 5 N is expected to be one of the most exciting electric cars on the market.
