Toyota in India has recalled over 250 Land Cruiser 300 SUVs as a precautionary measure due to concerns with the automatic transmission's electronic control unit. This proactive approach underscores the brand's commitment to ensuring the safety and reliability of its vehicles, placing customer well-being at the forefront.
Toyota has announced the recall of 269 Land Cruiser LC300 units produced between February 12, 2021, and February 1, 2023. The company will reach out to impacted Land Cruiser 300 SUV owners, advising them to visit authorized service centers for a software update.
Toyota will address the issue by reprogramming the electronic control units (ECUs) of the affected vehicles. This procedure will correct any malfunctions or potential problems within the transmission system, thereby guaranteeing the vehicles' reliability and safety. Toyota will provide the software update at no cost to the owners.

Toyota has advised owners of the Land Cruiser 300 SUV to determine if their vehicle is part of the recall by visiting Toyota's website and inputting their unique Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) in the Safety Recall section. Alternatively, they can contact the customer assistance center at 1800 309 0001 for further assistance.
