How Petrol Price Is Decided?

Before 2015, the government heavily subsidized fuel prices, keeping them stable. However, in September 2015, fuel prices were adjusted to match global oil prices. The Fuel Price Committee now sets fuel prices in the UAE, so we can expect more changes in the coming months.

Verdict

Prior to 2015, government subsidies kept UAE fuel prices stable. Since September 2015, prices have been aligned with global oil rates, as decided by the Fuel Price Committee. Consequently, further price adjustments are likely in the upcoming months.
