The 114th open auction, which took place on December 30, 2023, at the posh Grand Hyatt Dubai Hotel, saw Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) close its exclusive super plates auction with a staggering AED 51.216 million in sales.
Ninety super plates with combinations of two, three, four, and five digits in appealing categories like (AA, I, J, M, N, O, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z) were on display at the auction by the RTA.
RTA organizes both live and virtual auctions with a dedication to equity, transparency, and fair plate access for all enthusiasts. Many bidders attach personal significance to these unique numerical gems, which mark milestones, significant events, and symbols.
The highly sought-after (AA30) plate took center stage, fetching a substantial AED 4,540,000.
There was intense competition among bidders for (O48), with AED 2.56 million being the winning bid.
Not far behind was Plate (AA555), which ended at an impressive AED 2.48 million.
In perfect harmony with the other bidder, (T64) exchanged hands for an impressive AED 2,400,000.
For a fair AED 1,610,000, the uniquely divine (Q66666) plate found a new home.
Some plates brought in excellent prices, but these dominated the fundraising scene.
In addition to being a profitable event, RTA uses the super plate auction as a strategic move to satisfy a wide range of customers. RTA continuously strives to improve customer satisfaction by matching its products with industry developments.
These incredible auction results are driven by Dubai's ongoing fascination with customized license plates. RTA has the winning formula for these eagerly anticipated events: variety, transparency, and a laser-like focus on customer needs.
