Skoda Auto has introduced the Elroq, a compact electric SUV and the first model to showcase the brand's new 'Modern Solid' design. It sports a redesigned front with a wider, flatter version of Skoda's signature butterfly grille, called the Tech-Deck face.

Skoda Auto first revealed its Modern Solid design in 2022 with the Vision 7S concept. This new style swaps Skoda’s traditional butterfly grille for a sleek black panel across the front, accented by segmented four-piece LED daytime running lights. The main headlights are now placed on the bumper, which also features vertical air vents, a silver skid plate, tough plastic cladding, and automatic cooling vents to improve aerodynamics.

Inside, the Skoda Elroq features a wing-shaped dashboard with physical buttons for ADAS, climate control, drive modes, and a 13-inch infotainment screen. It also has a modern digital instrument cluster and a redesigned steering wheel.

The Skoda Elroq, a compact electric SUV with a 2,765 mm wheelbase and 4,488 mm length, is built on Volkswagen Group's MEB platform. It offers a spacious boot of 470 liters, expandable to 1,580 liters by folding the rear seats.
It comes in three powertrain options:

The Skoda Elroq’s 60 and 50 versions support charging speeds up to 145kW, taking around 25 minutes to charge from 10-80%. The 85 variant supports 175kW charging and takes about 28 minutes for the same charge. An AWD version of the 85 with an additional front motor will be available in 2025.
The Skoda Elroq is now available in Europe, but there's no confirmation on its release in the UAE yet.
The Skoda Elroq marks a significant step in Skoda's electric vehicle lineup, offering a range of powertrain options, impressive charging speeds, and a modern design. With its spacious interior, advanced technology, and strong performance, the Elroq is poised to be a competitive choice in the compact electric SUV segment. While available in Europe, its arrival in other markets like the UAE is yet to be confirmed.
