ROX Motors Delivers Electric Police Vehicles to Ras Al Khaimah Police

ROX Motors, the official dealer of the EV brand behind the popular ROX 01 SUV, has officially delivered electric police vehicles to Ras Al Khaimah Police. In an ongoing effort to modernize patrol fleets with some sustainable options, ROX Motors was charged with delivering fully electric versions of the ROX 01 SUV to the Ras Al Khaimah Police Department.*

These vehicles were handed over by organizing a formal ceremony, where police officials and ROX Motors representatives interacted with each other and completed official requirements for the deliveries of these vehicles.

ROX 01 was launched in the UAE last year and positioned in the market as an extended-range electric vehicle comprising a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with an electric motor and a long-range battery pack.

The ROX 01 SUV delivers a combined range of over 1,100 km. Its engine produces 470 horsepower and 740 Nm of peak torque, enabling it to accelerate 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds.

ROX Motors has made several RAK police-specific enhancements, like custom lighting, communication system, and official red and white livery, making it ideal for patrol and emergency response tasks.

This is major news as it is one of the first times the police department in the UAE has strengthened its patrol fleet with the addition of extended-range EVs. It highlights RAK’s commitment to sustainability and ongoing efforts to contribute to the UAE’s sustainability goals.
