Renault’s sports car brand Alpine has introduced the Alpine A110 R Ultime, its most powerful model yet, showcasing advanced engineering and top performance for the brand.
The Alpine A110 R Ultime starts at €330,000 (AED 1,306,371) with the blue two-tone paint or €265,000 (AED 1,049,351) without it. This price exceeds entry-level Ferrari models, which begin around €200,000 (AED 791,740), and nears the €395,000 (AED 1,564,127.60) starting price of Ferrari’s latest V12-powered 12Cilindri.
The A110 R Ultime comes with a finely-tuned 1.8-liter turbocharged engine from the Renault Megane RS, along with major styling, aerodynamic, and suspension upgrades. Limited to 110 units, it’s designed as a "road-legal track car." This is likely Alpine's final gas-powered performance model as it shifts toward electric vehicles.
At the Paris Motor Show, Alpine revealed the limited-edition A110 R Ultime alongside its A390 electric SUV concept. Only 15 of these special A110 R Ultime models will feature a unique blue leather interior and "La Bleue" gradient exterior, priced at €330,000 (AED 1,306,371), twice as much as the priciest A110 available today.
The other 95 units start at €265,000 (AED 1,047,837) and can be customized through Alpine's Atelier Sur-Mesure program, offering a variety of interior options and 27 exterior colors.
The A110 R Ultime offers customization options like leather, embroidery, and embossed braiding on the steering wheel, center console, and dashboard. It features 19-inch rear and 18-inch front forged alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, boosting aerodynamics for an extra 160 kg of downforce.
Customers can select specific colors for certain exterior parts. Its 1.8-liter mid-mounted four-cylinder engine has an upgraded turbo, producing 257 kW and 420 Nm—higher than the standard A110 R's 221 kW/340 Nm and the Australian A110 S's 215 kW/320 Nm.
Weighing 1,104 kg, the A110 R Ultime goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, 0.1 seconds faster than the A110 R Le Mans. It includes adjustable Öhlins dampers and a reinforced six-speed dual-clutch transmission to handle its increased torque and power.
The braking system is upgraded with larger 330mm AP Racing discs, extra cooling ducts, and improved brake pads. This new model highlights Alpine's dedication to thrilling driving experiences and marks an important step in the brand's modern lineup.
The Alpine A110 R Ultime stands as a pinnacle achievement for the brand, blending advanced engineering with enhanced styling and performance upgrades. With limited production and personalization options, it offers a unique, road-ready track experience. This model not only showcases Alpine’s dedication to high-performance sports cars but also likely represents their final petrol-powered vehicle as they pivot toward an electric future.
