Peugeot has responded to market trends favoring electrification, environmental concerns, and emissions rules by introducing the new three-row 5008 with hybrid and electric choices. There will be electric and plug-in hybrid versions available. French brand Stellantis will also sell a moderate hybrid version that is more affordable.
The new three-row Peugeot 5008 is 1.6 meters tall, 4.7 meters long, and 1.8 meters wide. It is built on Stellantis' electric-focused STLA Medium platform. With the wheelbase extended to 2.90 meters, there is now more room.
*The Peugeot 5008 is available with various drivetrains. It has a 1.2-liter 48V gasoline turbocharged engine that produces about 136 horsepower. An option is a plug-in hybrid variant that combines a 150-hp combustion engine and a 123-hp electric motor to produce 195 horsepower and an electric range of more than 50 miles. *
The all-electric e-5008 is offered in many versions. The front-wheel-drive, single-motor version may produce 210 or 228 horsepower, while the all-wheel-drive, dual-motor version can produce 318 horsepower overall. You can choose from various battery alternatives. You get a 73.0-kWh battery for 311 miles of range, and a larger 98.0-kWh pack for 410 miles.
The batteries come with a basic feature set that includes an 11-kW charger, a heat pump, and an optional 22-kW charger that can support up to 160 kW DC charging. The batteries are guaranteed for 100,000 miles or eight years.
