OMODA & JAECOO have come together to reshape the hybrid performance segment with their game-changing, cutting-edge Super Hybrid System (SHS). This platform delivers superior acceleration, lower fuel consumption, and an extended electric driving range compared to conventional ICE-powered vehicles.
As the demand for advanced and sustainable mobility options surges in the UAE, these brands have come together and successfully rolled out their flagship J7 PHEV in global markets. JAECOO is now launching its SHS technology in the UAE to meet the needs of modern customers looking for tech-driven, rugged, and reliable performance models that can survive in harsh terrains.
On this development, Shawn Xu, CEO of OMODA & JAECOO, said that SHS is not just a powertrain. It's a complete rethink of how hybrid SUVs should perform in real-life conditions. He added that the system outperforms many ICE vehicles in terms of torque, fuel efficiency, and range.
With the J7 SUV already showcasing its capabilities across multiple continents, JAECOO is proud to bring this innovation to the UAE and soon launch the next product, JAECOO J8 SHS, he further confirmed. The SHS is a proprietary plug-in hybrid technology platform from JAECOO, and it leverages electric efficiency with internal combustion power.
The key specifications of SHS include its capacity to produce 340 horsepower, 525 Nm of maximum torque, and up to 90 km of all-electric range. It can ensure up to 1,200 km of combined range and deliver 6 liters per 100 km economy on urban driving. The PHEV offers EV Silent Mode, regenerative braking, and multi-terrain drive settings.
JAECOO J7 PHEV has been tested to deliver comfortable and enjoyable rides on long-distance hybrid drives and urban EV-only performance. The SUV claims to deliver superior performance in the Super Hybrid Marathon from Dubai to Riyadh, where it easily survived dunes, rock crawls, and steep climbs.
After launching J7 PHEV, the automaker has also confirmed to unveil its JAECOO J8 SHS, which is designed specifically for off-road requirements, ensuring the occupants get a luxury interior and thrilling drive performance.
