Nissan revealed its all-new Frontier Pro plug-in hybrid pickup truck at Auto Shanghai 2025. With the debut of the Dongfeng Nissan N7, the Japanese automobile manufacturer also unveiled its all-new pickup, the second of nine new energy vehicles (NEVs) Nissan aims to launch in China by 2027. These two models showcase the brand's commitment to offering sustainable mobility solutions and maintaining its competitiveness in the new-age vehicle segment.

Styled around the concept of Rugged Tech, the all-new Frontier Pro pickup features a modern exterior design that prioritizes a spacious and refined interior. Around the front profile, the Nissan Frontier Pro features an illuminated brand logo and five LED light setups, spaced horizontally and spanning the truck's width. The three central lights pay subtle homage to one of the brand's iconic pickup trucks. The pickup rides on standard 18-inch alloy wheels with 265/65R18 tires.
Inside the cabin, you'll find a standard panoramic sunroof, a 10-inch LCD instrument panel, and a 14.6-inch infotainment screen. The spacious cabin has front seats featuring heating, ventilation, and seat-back massage. The pickup features roof rails and an electronic retractable cargo cover to match the customers' active lifestyles. There is a vehicle-to-load port that allows you to charge household devices. As per the available details, the pickup will be co-developed with Zhengzhou Nissan, initially going on sale in China and later being exported to global markets.
Under the hood, the plug-in hybrid Nissan Frontier Pro is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and a transmission-mounted high-output electric motor. The combined power output of the hybrid powertrain exceeds 300 kW and produces 800 Nm of torque. The Frontier Pro is said to deliver up to 135 km of all-electric range, and with the ICE configuration, the range can be further expanded.

Two battery options are available: 58 kWh and 73 kWh, and both use a 400-volt architecture.
All variants are fitted with a front-wheel-drive (FWD) setup and a single electric motor, delivering power ranging from 160 kW to 200 kW and a maximum torque of 305 Nm.
