Mercedes-Benz showcased its Vision V Concept at the 2025 Shanghai Motor Show, giving a bold preview of its future direction in electric MPVs. Built on a new-generation Van Electric Architecture (VAN.EA) platform, set to be officially unveiled in 2026, the Mercedes-Benz Vision V concept reimagines the high-end digital lounge on wheels.

Considering it a luxury van, the Vision V concept's silhouette is large and boxy but more flamboyant than the 2019 Concept EQV all-electric MPV. It features a sleek, connected LED headlights setup on the front with a standing illuminated Mercedes-Benz star motif. It also features a huge, closed-off grille with an illuminated border and slats flanked by chrome-lined air intakes on both sides.
On the side, it features standard front doors, sliding rear doors, and large aero-optimized 5-spoke alloy wheels with embedded lights. The rear taillight setup houses a square LED stripe that covers the roof's trailing edge and the lower end of the tailgate, and the center panel is completely built up of glass. In the center of the tailgate, it receives Mercedes-Benz Vision V lettering.

The tech-laden 4-seat interior features tube-cushioned seats and an all-white dashboard, with the Superscreen positioned to touch its width and featuring air-con vents. There is the white 3-spoke steering wheel, and there is no center console below the dashboard, indicating the console is folded into an infotainment screen. It also features transparent door pockets and a center armrest illuminated with ambient lighting.
The second row offers an ultra-luxurious private lounge experience, featuring massive space for two occupants with Nappa leather upholstery, fully reclinable airline-style seats, and ample ambient lighting. The rear occupants get a 65-inch 4K retractable cinema screen to run games and karaoke and work as a partition. The interior features a 42-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system, smart glass for the rear window that can shift between transparent and opaque, a center console touchpad for infotainment control, and a fold-out table that can also be converted into a chessboard with glass pawns.
With no official details about mechanical specifications, it's confirmed that the Vision V concept is built on VAN.EA architecture. The platform supports both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive layouts and has a range of up to 500 km on a single charge.
