Debuted earlier this year in the Middle East, including the UAE, the Nissan Magnite SUV has received a 5-star overall safety rating from the Global New Car Assessment Program (Global NCAP). This safety rating has established Magnite as one of the safest compact SUVs in the segment.

Nissan, the Japanese automobile company, manufactures its Magnite SUV in India and exports it to over 65 countries. In the global market, the SUV has performed exceptionally with amazing sales figures. In the Global NCAP crash test, the Nissan Magnite was given a 5-star rating for adult occupant protection and a 3-star rating for child occupant protection. The availability of enhanced crash safety and protection systems has secured the vehicle an overall safety rating of 5 stars.
On this update, Richard Woods, CEO of Global NCAP, said that it's good to see Nissan's focus on improving Magnite's safety performance, and the 5-star rating demonstrates what can be achieved in a shorter time if the manufacturer is fully dedicated to engaging in the NCAP process.

During the crash test, the Magnite underwent a rigorous test, including frontal and side impact assessment, pedestrian and side pole impact tests, and evaluations of electronic stability control. Nissan launched its new Magnite in October 2024 with over 55 safety features, including six airbags, 67% high-tensile strength steel body, anti-lock braking system with EBD, vehicle dynamic control, rear parking sensor, three-point seatbelts for all passengers, and ISOFIX child seat anchors. Importantly, these safety features are available as standard in all variants of Nissan Magnite.
From Nissan, the company's Senior VP for AMIEO Region, Leon Dorssers, stated that the brand's first and overriding commitment is to make the vehicles safe. He also appreciated Global NCAP's 5-star verification for Nissan Magnite.
Nissan Magnite in the UAE is available in three variants, S, SV, and SL, with a starting price of AED 59,900. With compact dimensions, the SUV gets a bold grille with LED bi-projector auto headlamps and LED lightsaber turn indicators. The vehicle also has R16 diamond cut alloy wheels with a dual-tone finish. Inside the cabin, a premium MODURE leather quilted seat with heat guard technology is offered for a comfortable drive on city roads and highways.
Under the hood, it gets a 1.0L turbo petrol engine that makes up to 100 PS power output and 152 Nm of peak torque. The turbo petrol engine is paired with a CVT gearbox and can sprint from 0 to 100 in about 12 seconds. Nissan claims the Magnite SUV delivers 17.3 km/l of fuel mileage, making it one of the best-selling compact SUVs in the market.
