The new generation Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class is set to debut next year, with an exclusive preview revealed by the automaker. At the Festival d'Hyères in France, Mercedes showcased a lightly camouflaged prototype of the upcoming compact sedan, which will be offered in both hybrid and electric versions.
The next-gen CLA will keep its four-door design, with a swooping roofline that gives it a mini-CLS coupe-like look. The bumper blends seamlessly with a wider grille, while the redesigned headlamps resemble those on the concept model. Built on the MRA modular platform, the new CLA supports multiple powertrains, including conventional hybrids, EVs, and plug-in hybrids.
Though the coupe's interior remains undisclosed, it is expected to resemble the concept with a mix of shades and textures. The new CLA will feature a full-width MBUX Superscreen, similar to the one in the Vision EQXX, and will operate on Mercedes-Benz’s new MB.OS system. This chip-to-cloud architecture will enable seamless access to Google Maps and other integrated apps.
The new CLA-Class is expected to debut in the European market next year, with a North American launch following in 2026. It will remain a competitor in the subcompact premium sedan segment, alongside the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe and Audi A3 sedan. There is currently no information regarding its launch in the UAE.
