Kia has revealed the all-new Stonic, a compact crossover, with a raft of improvements including bold design updates, upgraded interior, and enhanced connectivity options. Kia has also offered versatile powertrain options to target a wider customer base in global markets.

Kia Stonic measures 4,165 mm in length and provides up to 352 litres of cargo capacity. In the front, it offers 1,070 mm of legroom and practical rear passenger dimensions with more focus on urban commuting. Along with the 1.0-liter T-GDI engine, the South Korean automotive company has also offered a mild-hybrid powertrain configuration for customers looking for something sustainable and environmentally friendly. The buyers have options to choose between a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The new Stonic crossover is guided by Kia’s Opposites United design philosophy that focuses on designing stronger and more expressive vehicles for urban driving needs. While it has compact dimensions, the vehicle gets a refreshed front fascia that features Kia’s Star Map Signature Lighting, a sharper and more structured grille, and an updated front bumper design.

Moreover, the updated exterior palette now features two color options, including Adventurous Green and Yacht Blue.

Inside the cabin, the automaker has made a series of enhancements, including a new panoramic dual display layout that connects 12.3-inch screens for full digital instrumentation and advanced infotainment. There is a multimodal touch display that replaces conventional HVAC controls with a sleek interface, as well as a redesigned steering wheel in both Base Line and GT-Line models. Kia has also offered a resculpted gear knob, an updated dashboard, and a new center console. The connectivity features include USB-C fast charging ports, wireless smartphone charging, and ambient lighting.
The new Kia Stonic also integrates Kia Connect to offer cloud-based services, real-time vehicle diagnostics, and remote vehicle interactions via the Kia App. The new Digital Key function enables drivers to unlock and start the vehicle with their smartphone or smartwatch. The South Korean automobile manufacturer has equipped its Stonic with a range of safety features, including one of its most comprehensive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems that comprises blind-spot collision avoidance assist, forward collision avoidance assist 1.5, navigation-based smart cruise control, and highway driving assist and lane following assist.
