The automotive community was thrilled to see Dodge unveil the much-awaited production version of the Charger Daytona on Tuesday. This implies that the first-ever electric version of the Dodge Charger nameplate is ready to satisfy the various needs of performance fanatics and fans of electric vehicles, ensuring a pleasurable driving experience.

With its dual-motor powertrain and modular STLA Large platform, the electric Charger Daytona is set to make its debut. Charger Daytona R/T and Charger Daytona Scat Pack are the two versions that will be offered at the start. Around 670 horsepower and 627 ft-lbs of torque are produced by the Scat Pack version, whilst 496 horsepower and 404 ft-lbs of torque are produced by the R/T trim.

Both versions will come equipped with all-wheel drive and Powershot boost capability. The Scat Pack can accelerate to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds, while the R/T can do the same in 4.7 seconds.
With a widebody posture, the 2018 Dodge Charger Daytona EV's design appears to be influenced by those of its predecessors. The patent-pending front R-Wing, which improves downforce and airflow, is one of the novel features that have been added. The car also gains a distinct character via the addition of a Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust featuring the Fratzonic logo and Daytona text logos.

By using passive radiators, the exhaust system of the new Dodge Charger Daytona EV produces sound intensity comparable to that of a Hellcat. There's an alternative stealth mode for quieter operation.
Midway through 2024, the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T with EV Scat Pack will go into production. Additionally, Dodge is planning to release a four-door Charger SIXPACK S.O. and a two-door gas-powered Charger SIXPACK H.O. In 2025, they will begin producing their goods. The Windsor Assembly factory will be the site of the manufacture of the new Dodge Charger.
Verdict
