The Batur Convertible signifies Bentley's move towards V8 hybrid engines in future models.
Bentley launched the exclusive Batur coupe in 2022, utilizing the Continental GT platform and marking the end of the W-12 engine era. Now, Bentley has unveiled the Batur Convertible, limited to a production run of only 16 units, two fewer than its coupe counterpart.
Both these models signal the conclusion of an era for Bentley's W-12 engine, set to be phased out this summer. Future flagship models will transition to electric powertrains and V-8 plug-in hybrids, with Bentley's first electric vehicle anticipated by late 2026.

The Batur convertible represents Mulliner's third offering following the Bacalar and coupe models. Featuring a retractable roof, it is priced at over GBP 2 million (AED 9,167,674).
The new two-seater is based on the Continental GT and will be among the final vehicles to showcase Bentley's twin-turbocharged W12 6.0-liter engine, producing 750 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque. It boasts a top speed of 336 km/h and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds.

Buyers have the opportunity to personalize every aspect of the car through Mulliner, Bentley's internal customization division. This customization extends to features such as vent controls, a 3D-printed rose gold drive mode selector, and a steering wheel insert. Bentley collaborated with Birmingham jewelers to create these distinctive components.

The Batur Convertible is anticipated to be among the final models showcasing Bentley's prominent engine, suggesting the W12 will persist for a while. Prior to Bentley's shift to new V8 hybrid powertrains, there might be additional special editions featuring 12-cylinder engines.
Bentley Batur Convertible represents a limited and exclusive offering from the luxury automaker, with only 16 units set to be produced. As one of the last models featuring Bentley's renowned W12 engine, it marks the end of an era before the brand transitions to new V8 hybrid powertrains. With its bespoke customization options and powerful performance, the Batur Convertible embodies Bentley's commitment to luxury and craftsmanship.
