The CLE 53 boasts distinctive flared wheel arches, increasing the track width by 3.0 inches at the rear and 2.3 inches at the front compared to the regular CLE-Class. It features AMG light alloy wheels in 19-inch size, with an option for 20 inches, complemented by powerful brakes consisting of four-piston fixed callipers and 14.6-inch ventilated rotors at the front, and 14.2-inch rotors with single-piston floating callipers at the rear.
The newest member of Mercedes-AMG's mild-hybrid range, the CLE 53, utilizes the same 'M256' 3.0-liter straight-six twin-turbo engine found in the E 53 sedan. Enhanced by a 48V starter generator, this engine generates 449 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque, with a temporary boost to 600 Nm for ten seconds available through the over-boost function.
The AMG CLE 53 Cabriolet accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 4.4 seconds, outperforming competitors like the Ford Mustang GT and BMW M440i. It boasts an electronically capped top speed of 250 kmph, extendable to 270 kmph with the optional AMG performance package. Equipped with a nine-speed gearbox and torque-vectoring four-wheel-drive system, it ensures dynamic performance on the road.
The interior of the vehicle boasts a 12.3-inch floating digital screen for the gauge cluster and an 11.9-inch floating touchscreen for the infotainment system. Other notable features include sporty seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel, a voice assistant, and ambient lighting.
Its automated soft-top roof, available in red, black, or grey, can be opened or closed in about 20 seconds, even while driving at speeds of up to 37 mph. When the roof is lowered, an electric divider in the trunk separates the cargo area from the folded mechanism.
Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Cabriolet offers a thrilling driving experience with its powerful engine, advanced technology features, and sleek design. From its flared wheel arches to its automated soft-top roof, every aspect of this convertible is crafted to deliver a dynamic and luxurious driving experience. With its impressive performance capabilities and stylish interior, the CLE 53 Cabriolet is sure to turn heads on the road.
