Features a 339-horsepower engine from the Morgan Plus Six.
Expected to conclude by early 2025.
Roofless Barchetta style with teak paneling and aerodynamic enhancements.
Maintains a dry weight under 1,000 kg.
Morgan, the British sports car manufacturer, has teamed up with the renowned Italian design house Pininfarina to create a potential summer sensation. Named the Midsummer, this stunning two-seater draws inspiration from Midsummer Hill, located near Morgan's century-old handcrafted car factory in the Malvern Hills.

Limited to just 50 units, all sold before its public debut, the Midsummer features the BMW-derived drivetrain and chassis of the Morgan Plus Six. It is powered by a 339-horsepower turbocharged straight-six engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, achieving an estimated 0-60 mph time of around 4.5 seconds.

The limited batch of 50 cars will follow Morgan's existing production process for its Plus models, which is expected to be completed by early 2025. Despite its size, Morgan's CEO, Massimo Fumarola, highlighted its significance within the company's broader strategy of producing limited-run specials.

The Midsummer boasts innovative features, including a Barchetta-style, roofless design without a conventional windshield and windows, complemented by elegant teak paneling. While Morgan is known for its traditional use of ash wood, the incorporation of teak represents a novel approach, enhancing their craftsmanship to new levels.

The Midsummer features distinctive design enhancements, such as simplified rear lights, larger headlights that integrate daytime running lights and indicators, and an aerodynamic radiator shroud. Pininfarina has revamped the long bonnet with horizontal air extraction louvers and improved aerodynamics with subtle modifications to the rear wings and aluminum front. Uniquely designed lightweight wheels and hand-formed stainless steel finishers contribute to keeping the dry weight under 1,000 kg.
The collaboration between Morgan and Pininfarina has resulted in the Midsummer, a limited-edition speedster that combines British craftsmanship with Italian design flair. Limited to just 50 units, this exclusive model showcases unique design elements, advanced aerodynamics, and a powerful BMW-derived drivetrain.
The Midsummer not only highlights Morgan's commitment to innovative and high-quality vehicles but also signifies a strategic move towards creating special, limited-run models that enhance the brand's prestigious legacy.
