The British Formula One team, Williams Racing, and the automotive manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz, have confirmed a contract extension. This signifies that Williams Racing will remain a customer of Mercedes-Benz power units until 2030.

Since its introduction, Williams Racing has employed the 1.6-litre V6 hybrid turbo power units in Formula One. Following Aston Martin, Williams holds the distinction of being the second-oldest customer of Mercedes-Benz's power unit.

For the 2026 power unit regulations, Williams Racing has been officially confirmed as the second customer team. Since mid-2022, Mercedes-Benz and Williams have collaborated on developing a new power unit at Mercedes-AMG High-Performance Powertrains in Brixworth. This partnership is geared towards utilizing a varied portfolio of customer teams to conduct on-track testing for the new engines by 2026.
Since 1994, Mercedes-Benz has been providing engines to diverse racing teams. In 2010, it transitioned into a fully operational works team. The collaboration with Mercedes-AMG has resulted in 114 victories, comprising 8 consecutive World Constructors' Championships and two for customer teams.
Williams Racing has been a customer of Mercedes-Benz since the inception of the turbo hybrid era. Throughout this time, the team has garnered 16 podium finishes. In the 2014 and 2015 World Constructors' Championship, Williams Racing clinched the third position. After a hiatus, the team returned in 2023, concluding the season in seventh place overall.
James Vowles, the principal of the Williams Racing Team, conveyed his enthusiasm regarding the prolonged collaboration with Mercedes-Benz. This extended partnership marks a positive stride toward their future goals.
