McLaren Automotive is preparing itself to create a stunning showcase at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, presenting its legacy of road car excellence and motorsport dominance under the theme of "Champions and Challenges".

Along with all possible showcases is the global launch of the McLaren W1, which will be positioned as a revolutionary supercar that blends raw power, latest-generation technology, and an uncompromising connection between driver and machine. McLaren W1, introduced globally for the first time, will capture the brand's spirit of continuous innovation.
The W1 hybrid hypercar is expected to succeed the McLaren P1 and boasts a sensational driving experience on both road and track. McLaren W1 has been confirmed to be powered by a 1275PS V8 hybrid engine and RWD system with precision balance. It will also have Formula 1-inspired ground effect aero and active aerodynamic systems.
As per the official release by McLaren, only 399 units of the W1 hybrid hypercar will be built and have already been allocated to global customers. The W1 is the third iteration in McLaren's elite "1" car lineup, including the legendary McLaren F1 and all-time favorite McLaren P1.
Along with the McLaren W1, the supercar manufacturer is also aiming to showcase other anticipated models and exclusive editions, including the McLaren 750S Le Mans. This limited edition supercar will be inspired by the historic win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
McLaren will build only 50 models to commemorate this major victory, following its legendary win at the 1995 Le Mans with the McLaren F1 GTR #59, driven by JJ Lehto. It will be a tribute to the McLaren F1 LM and feature a bespoke MSO High Downforce Kit for enhanced circuit performance.
It's also expected that McLaren's track-only Solus GT will make a return in the Goodwood Festival of Speed, featuring a 5.2-liter V10 engine with 840 PS of power delivery and weights under 1000kg for high-end performance. The model is renowned for its remarkable victory at the 2023 Timed Shootout Final. In 2024, the Solus GT gained popularity when Formula 1 legend Mika Hakkinen drove a customer car painted in a custom MSO color scheme matching his 1998 championship-winning F1 car.
McLaren will also showcase two Celebration Edition supercars at Goodwood, in recognition of the McLaren Formula team's World Constructors' Championship. It will include the McLaren 750S and Artura MCL38. Both models will be limited to nine units and feature exclusive liveries in Papaya Orange and Anthracite, created by MSO.
