Maserati has introduced the GT2 Stradale, a more aggressive version of its MC20 supercar, inspired by GT2 racing and focused on track performance. It’s 60kg lighter than the standard MC20, improving its handling and agility. The car features an upgraded 3.0-litre V6 turbo engine, delivering 640 hp, 10 hp more than the standard model, making it a strong competitor on both road and track.
The Maserati GT2 Stradale accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 2.8 seconds, thanks to its 1,365kg weight. It’s quicker than the Ferrari 296 GTB and matches the McLaren 750S despite having less power.
The GT2 Stradale features an extensive aero kit, including a large rear wing and a new front diffuser, generating 500kg of downforce at 280 kmph, compared to the MC20's 145kg. It also shares the braking systems, advanced suspension, and steering of the GT2.
The new Maserati GT2 Stradale includes a Corsa Evo mode with a four-level traction control system. Optional performance packs feature an electronic limited-slip differential, Michelin semi-slick tyres, and four-point seat belts.
Pricing hasn't been announced yet, but it's expected to range from $242,995 (AED 892,000) for the MC20 to $522,000 (AED 1,920,000) for the track-focused GT2 version.
The Maserati GT2 Stradale, a more aggressive and track-focused variant of the MC20, combines advanced aerodynamics, reduced weight, and enhanced power for superior performance. With new features like the Corsa Evo mode and optional performance packs, it is poised to be a formidable contender on both road and track, though its pricing remains undisclosed.
