Land Rover is ready to unveil its flagship Defender Octa, featuring a powerful electrified twin-turbocharged V-8 engine and upgraded suspension for superior off-road performance, enhancing the 4x4 lineup.
The Defender Octa features 6D Dynamics hydraulic interlinked air suspension for a comfortable and smooth ride. This suspension system enhances stability across various driving conditions. Furthermore, it comes equipped with Brembo brakes to provide ample stopping power and road control.
JLR has confirmed that the upcoming Defender model will feature a twin-turbocharged V8 engine, likely the BMW-sourced 4.4-liter engine used in Range Rover models, generating approximately 618 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. The Octa is expected to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.
Setting itself apart from other variants, the Defender Octa showcases diamond-inspired badges both inside and out. The exterior badge displays a glossy-black diamond on a sandblasted and machined titanium disc, while inside, a red illuminated diamond badge embellishes the steering wheel's base.
