Draws from the C3 Aircross with appealing features.
Equipped with a 1.2L turbo-petrol engine, 110 horsepower.
Planned for release six months after the petrol model.
More information is expected in mid-2024 before release later in the year.
A significant addition to Citroen's lineup, highlighting commitment to SUVs.
Citroen has revealed the Basalt Vision SUV coupe as part of its C-Cubed program, marking its fourth offering. Available in electric and ICE versions, it is set to debut in the Indian market by October 2024, just in time for the festive season. Positioned to compete with the upcoming Tata Curvv, it is poised to make a significant impact in the SUV segment.

The Basalt Vision SUV-coupe draws heavy inspiration from the C3 Aircross in terms of its size and design. Its front end resembles the C3 Aircross with premium projectors and a chrome-studded Chevron logo. Pull-type door handles, squared-off plastic cladding, and gun-metal finish alloy wheels characterize its side profile. The newly designed dual-tone silver and black bumper and tail-lamp cluster further enhance its attractive appearance.
Although Citroen has not disclosed specifics about the Basalt's interior, it is expected to surpass its predecessors in terms of features. Anticipated upgrades may include standard offerings such as automatic climate control, electric folding mirrors, cruise control, keyless entry, stop/start buttons, and a wireless charging pad.

The Basalt will come with the identical engine found in the current C-Cubed models: a 1.2-liter, 110 horsepower turbo-petrol engine, paired with either a torque converter or a six-speed manual automatic gearbox.
Citroen also intends to introduce the all-electric version of the Basalt approximately six months following the launch of the petrol model. Additional details about the coupe-SUV will be disclosed in mid-2024, preceding the anticipated release of the Basalt later this year.
