Jaguar, the renowned British luxury carmaker, has unveiled a new logo as it transitions to an all-electric vehicle lineup, marking the start of a new era for the 102-year-old brand.

The new logo features gold-colored lettering in a custom font, with the brand name "Jaguar" in lowercase, except for the capitalized 'U' and 'G'. The automaker describes it as a "powerful celebration of modernism," highlighting the perfect balance of symmetry, simplicity, and geometric design, blending lowercase and uppercase letters for a harmonious appearance.

The "leaper," Jaguar's iconic leaping cat emblem, has been updated as a symbol of progress and a "precious mark of provenance." This redesign aligns with Jaguar's plans to launch three electric vehicles by 2026, marking its transition to a fully electric luxury brand. Rawdon Glover, Managing Director, explained that slow sales of new cars led to the decision to distinguish upcoming models from older ones, aiming to shift public perception.
Jaguar's new brand identity marks a bold shift as it embraces an all-electric future. The redesigned logo and updated "leaper" emblem symbolize the brand's commitment to innovation, originality, and progress, with a clear focus on becoming a fully electric luxury automaker by 2026. This transformation reaffirms Jaguar's legacy while preparing for a new era in automotive design and technology.
