Jaguar halts F-Type, XE, and XF production at Castle Bromwich, focusing on EVs.
Online orders are available for these models with limited customization.
Castle Bromwich, once an aircraft hub, now transitions to EV production.
Jaguar plans to launch a 600bhp electric GT car and luxury SUV.
The brand targets luxury SUV market expansion and large luxury saloon launches.
Jaguar is undergoing a notable transformation by ceasing production of its F-Type, XE, and XF models in the coming weeks, shifting its lineup to focus solely on SUVs for the time being.
Jaguar's Castle Bromwich facility is changing, with plans to halt production of the F-Type, XE, and XF models by June. The site will pivot to manufacturing body panels for a new lineup of vehicles, aimed at rejuvenating the brand's product range.
While production of the F-Type, XE, and XF models is paused, customers still have the option to order and purchase these vehicles via the Jaguar website. However, customization options are limited as the models are being produced according to pre-defined standards, without the ability for individual specifications.

The Castle Bromwich factory, originally utilized for manufacturing Lancaster and Spitfire planes during World War II, was later acquired by British Leyland before being taken over by Jaguar. During Jaguar's ownership, Castle Bromwich became renowned for producing iconic vehicles such as the XJ and S-Type.
In 2021, Jaguar decided to cancel the electric XJ project, relocating upcoming EV production to Solihull. Despite encountering supply challenges, sales of both the XF and XE experienced notable growth, surpassing those of the Solihull-built F-Pace SUV.

In 2025, Jaguar is poised to enter a new phase with the introduction of a 600bhp electric four-seat GT car, resembling the acclaimed Porsche Taycan in configuration. Subsequently, Jaguar will unveil a luxurious SUV inspired by the Bentley Bentayga, demonstrating the brand's expansion into the luxury SUV market. Additionally, a sizable luxury saloon is set to join the lineup.
Jaguar is embarking on a transformative journey in 2025 with the launch of innovative electric vehicles, including a high-performance GT car and a luxurious SUV, expanding its presence in the luxury automotive market. These developments mark a significant shift for the brand as it embraces new technologies and diversifies its product lineup to meet evolving consumer demands.
