Jaguar commits to going all-electric by 2025.
Industry leadership in innovation and sustainability.
Accelerating the electric revolution in automotive.
Demonstrating environmental responsibility.
Setting a benchmark for a sustainable future.
Jaguar is moving toward a 2025 electric-only future. This is a significant change in its automotive strategy as it will herald the end of production of its current lineup and a focus on premium electric vehicles. By year's end, Jaguar plans to discontinue manufacture of its aging electric I-Pace SUV.
Presently, the carmaker offers five models in the global market: the F-Type coupe and roadster, the XF sedan, the F-Pace crossovers, and the E-Pace. But starting in June, all of these models aside from the electric I-Pace will no longer be produced.
Beginning in 2024, Jaguar intends to introduce three new electric vehicles (EVs). The first is the Gran Tourer, a four-seater that looks like a Porsche Taycan and has an amazing range of up to 430 miles. In late 2025 and early 2026, two more electric cars are planned to be on sale. The Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA) will transport them all.
Jaguar previously invested a large sum of money in the development of a flagship electric vehicle, but the project was shelved even before it reached a sophisticated stage. The decision was taken by the outgoing CEO since the vehicle didn't fit the brand's new direction.
The brand's global lineup of electric vehicles featured the popular all-electric SUV, the I-PACE, which is renowned for its outstanding performance, eco-friendliness, and style. Jaguar's introduction into the EV market in the UAE is marked by the availability of the I-PACE. In the UAE, it is offered for the starting price of AED 368,550.
Jaguar's commitment to achieving a fully electric lineup by 2025 signals a significant shift in the automotive industry towards sustainable mobility. This ambitious goal reflects Jaguar's dedication to innovation and environmental responsibility. By embracing electric vehicles, Jaguar positions itself at the forefront of the electric revolution, driving towards a future of cleaner transportation. This decisive move not only aligns with global efforts to reduce carbon emissions but also sets a benchmark for other automakers to follow in the pursuit of a more sustainable future.
