OMODA & JAECOO is reportedly planning to launch its latest hybrid SUV, the JAECOO J7 SHS (Super Hybrid System), in the UAE. According to the industry insights, JAECOO J7 SHS can be launched in the UAE by the last week of August 2025. The hybrid SUV is specifically designed and developed for the Middle East region, offering an EV-like driving experience with assurance of long range and high-end safety features.

The attention-grabbing feature of JAECOO J7 is its Super Hybrid System that guarantees a pure EV driving range of up to 90 km and a combined range of over 1,200 km on a single tank and charge. With the impressive driving range, JAECOO J7 can be positioned as an ideal SUV for long-distance travel needs, particularly for those who frequently move between the Emirates.
As per the company’s official data, the upcoming JAECOO hybrid SUV in the UAE consumes only 3.1 liters per 100 km of drive. Its hybrid logic empowers electric drive in the city and fuel-powered backup on long-distance highway drives.
OMODA & JAECOO have engineered the J7 SHS for the harsh environment of the UAE, making it capable of delivering efficient performance between the temperatures of minus 35 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius.

Under the hood, it features fifth fifth-generation 1.5TGDI turbocharged 4-cylinder engine coupled with dual electric motors, making up to 328 horsepower and 515 Nm of torque. This powertrain setup is configured with a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT) for gearless, smooth power delivery and quick acceleration.
Interestingly, the JAECOO J7 SUV boasts 5-star safety ratings from Euro NCAP and ANCAP, equipped with advanced driver assistance features like intelligent lane support, central curtain airbags, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, and battery power cut-off in 2 milliseconds post-collision.
In terms of design, the SUV has sleek lines across the exterior, along with a bold grille and a modern LED lighting setup. Inside the cabin, it has Nappa leather-covered interior with ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, 13.2-inch HD infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has a Sony premium audio system, a 540-degree panoramic camera, and a vehicle-to-load power outlet.
The upcoming JAECOO J7 SHS is likely to be priced around AED 110,000 and expected to hit showrooms in the UAE and the GCC region by the end of August 2025.
