JAECOO J5 Launched in Saudi Arabia, UAE Launch on August 14

OMODA & JAECOO has officially launched the all-new light off-road SUV, the JAECOO J5, at JAECOO DAY, a high-energy launch event, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on August 9. With its official debut at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, JAECOO J5 officially introduced various Middle East regions, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar. However, the JAECOO J5 UAE launch has been scheduled for August 14.

On the UAE launch, OMODA & JAECOO will offer media, partners, and customers a first-hand look at this light off-road SUV specifically tailored for the Emirates. Compared to the Middle East version of the J5 SUV, the UAE spec iteration of the JAECOO J5 will be slightly different because it will be customized for local driving conditions, climate, and customer preferences.

JAECOO J5 Arrives in the Middle East

Launched under the theme “GO DISCOVER”, the Riyadh launch got attention from regional media and automobile enthusiasts, witnessing a surprise appearance by Bader Alshuaibi, who is a well-known singer in the region. He was also revealed as JAECOO’s regional brand ambassador.

Alongside the J5 light off-road SUV, JAECOO also showcased the JAECOO J8 and introduced the Super Hybrid System in the region, offering Middle East customers a more eco-conscious driving experience.

JAECOO J5 Specifications

The J5 SUV has been designed to offer best-in-class on-road comfort and light off-road capabilities, making it suitable for urban roads, highways, and desert outskirts. The SUV is equipped with a 540-degree panoramic camera for easier manoeuvring, three intelligent ARDIS driving modes, independent suspension for stability and comfort, and lifestyle-focused touches to make the vehicle personalized for customer needs.

Under the hood, the Chery Group’s subsidiary has offered a Super Hybrid System, built around a 5th-generation 1.5TDGI engine, dedicated hybrid transmission, and high-performance battery pack. The powertrain is claimed to offer long range and higher fuel efficiency.
