OMODA & JAECOO, the fastest growing automotive subsidiaries of Chery Group, have contributed significantly to stimulating the growth of the Chinese automaker, securing 233rd rank on the 2025 Fortune Global 500 list, surpassing an impressive 152 spots compared to last year. This achievement not only showcases incredible growth the Chery Group has witnessed in the last couple of years, but it also highlights its commitment to continuous global expansion, rapid adoption of NEVs, and strong sales momentum.

Within 26 months of global launch, OMODA & JAECOO have collectively sold out over 570,000 units of vehicles, making them one of the fastest-growing automobile companies to hit the half-million sales mark. In the first half of 2025, these subsidiaries contributed about 37% to Chery Group's export volume, up from 21% in 2023.
The increased demand for new energy vehicles in global markets, including the UAE, has enabled OMODA & JAECOO to witness a 460% YoY growth in NEV sales, with the NEV lineup now accounting for 51% of their total sales. JAECOO J7 SHS has become the best-selling flagship hybrid model, achieving over 10,000 units of monthly sales in multiple regions. The J7 SHS is becoming popular because of its fuel efficiency, performance, and environmental sustainability.
With the help of all sub-brands, Chery Group has collectively sold 1.26 million vehicles globally in the first half of 2025, marking 14.5% YoY growth compared to last year. Out of these, 550,000 units were exported into different global markets, accounting for 20% of China's total automobile exports. Data shows that every 29 seconds, a Chery-made vehicle is exported to global markets. Chery's NEV sales have also risen to 360,000 units in H1 2025, registering double growth compared to the previous year.
In the UAE, OMODA & JAECOO currently offer petrol-powered vehicles, but they are planning to bring some of their most advanced hybrid offerings. As per the available details, JAECOO J7 SHS is scheduled to make its debut in the UAE by the end of August 2025, while the J8 SHS and C7 SHS are expected to arrive by the end of this year.
Currently, OMODA sells OMODA C5 and C5 Sport, while JAECOO offers JAECOO J7, J7 PHEV, and J8 models in the UAE.
