Genesis intends to join the upper-large SUV market to take on the Mercedes-Benz GLS, BMW X7, and Land Rover Range Rover. The company has provided a sneak glance at the Neolun concept. Thought to be a sneak peek at the all-electric GV90, which will sit above the revised GV80, the idea was unveiled in New York.

The Neolun Concept, which is a preview of Genesis' first full-size SUV, which is likely to be called the GV90, was inspired by moon-shaped Korean porcelain jars. The specifications for this all-electric model's performance have not yet been made public.
The Hyundai Genesis Neolun concept combines remarkable styling with a Maybach influence and has Rolls-Royce-style coach doors. It has twin lights and a minimalistic appearance. The impression of the night sky is created by using Majestic Blue and Midnight Black paint.

Its concept vibe is enhanced by the striking colors on the interior, such as Purple Silk leather and Royal Indigo cashmere. It has a real wood floor and a heating system that is "ondol". An adjustable screen for rear passengers and a tweeter visible through a revolving crystal sphere up front.

The 'e-GMP' electric vehicle architecture, which has also been utilized in the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV9, will most likely be employed by the EV when its 2025 debut. Additionally, it is anticipated to have dual motors for all-wheel drive and improved autonomous driving functions. Even if it does not feature pillarless doors, this model will probably become the flagship one and help the brand's sales expand.
Unveiling of the Genesis Neolun concept hints at the brand's ambition to compete in the luxury SUV market, particularly against rivals like the Maybach GLS. With its sophisticated design and innovative features, the Neolun concept showcases Genesis's commitment to delivering premium vehicles that offer both style and performance.
While still a concept, it signals Genesis's intention to expand its lineup and appeal to affluent consumers seeking luxury and prestige in their SUV choices. Overall, the Neolun concept underscores Genesis's growing presence in the luxury automotive sector and sets the stage for potential future competition in this segment.
