Hyundai has broadened its electric vehicle range by launching the Inster, set to be its most compact and cost-effective electric SUV worldwide. Built on the Casper platform, its internal combustion engine counterpart, the Inster EV aims to enhance accessibility and affordability, incorporating advanced electric mobility technology.

The Inster EV adopts the youthful and distinctive design cues of the Casper, blending modern-retro aesthetics. It includes circular LED daytime running lights surrounding the headlamp cluster at the front. A black pillar-like structure integrates the front camera, headlamps, ADAS sensor, and charging port. The car also incorporates pixel-themed turn indicators to enhance its visual appeal.

The Hyundai Inster is offered in two versions: a base model equipped with a 42kWh battery and a 96hp front-mounted drive unit. It accelerates from 0-100 kmph in approximately 11.7 seconds and has a range of 300 km. The "long-range" variant, a higher-spec model, features a 49kWh battery with 113hp, achieving a range of 350 km and accelerating from 0-100 kmph in 10.6 seconds. Both versions utilize nickel-cobalt-manganese batteries, support standard 85kW (DC) charging, and include a heat pump.

The Inster measures approximately 3,825 mm in length, 1,575 mm in height, and 1,610 mm in width, with a wheelbase of about 2,580 mm. Its boot capacity is 280 litres, expandable to 351 litres with adjustable rear seats.
Inside, the Inster EV features a contemporary and functional cabin design. It includes a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, automatic climate control, a digital instrument cluster, a multifunctional steering wheel, and a wireless charger.

Additional features include ventilated front seats, a 360-degree surround camera, ambient lighting, sunroof, and various advanced driver-assistance systems.
The color options for the Hyundai Inster include Tomboy Khaki, Atlas White, Aero Silver Matte, Bijarim Khaki Matte, Abyss Black Pearl, Sienna Orange Metallic, Unbleached Ivory, Dusk Blue Matte, and Buttercream Yellow Pearl.
The official launch of the Hyundai Inster in the UAE has not been confirmed yet.
