Hyundai Motor Group has announced its Q2 revenue for 2025, stating it has recorded the highest ever quarterly revenue of $35.2 billion and a YoY increase of 7.3%. On Thursday, the South Korean automaker reported a strong quarterly performance, following revenue of $32.3 billion in the first quarter.

Even with record-high revenue in Q2, Hyundai reported that its YoY quarterly net profit declined by 22.1%. Its net profit fell from $3 billion to $2.36 billion, a YoY decrease of $640 million. Its Q2 operating profit also dropped from 8.2% in Q1 to 7.5%. Citing the reason for the decline in profits, the automaker stated that the increased tariffs and current global trade climate resulted in lower net profits, despite achieving record-high sales figures.
Hyundai announced that it sold 1,043,000 vehicles globally in Q2, showing a 0.9% increase compared to the same period last year. However, its core automotive revenue surged 5.1% YoY to reach $26.9 billion.
The South Korean automobile manufacturer witnessed strong demand for Hyundai cars in North America as the quarterly retail vehicle sales in the US increased 10.3% YoY to 256,000 units. The SUV and crossover models contributed 75% of the automaker’s wholesale sales in the US in Q2 2025.
The sales for electrified models also gained momentum as they showed a 36.4% YoY increase by selling 262,126 vehicles. While sharing the data, the automaker highlighted that the demand for hybrid vehicles in the global market is strong, while EV sales are reaching an all-time high in Europe.
Some of the best-selling models in electrified segments include the Hyundai Santa Fe, Tucson, and Santa Fe plug-in hybrid. In the market, Hyundai also introduced the three-row IONIQ 9 electric SUV. A few months ago, the automaker also unveiled its next-generation hybrid system that claimed to offer 19% more power and 45% better fuel efficiency compared to ICE-powered models.
In the UAE, Hyundai offers an extensive portfolio lineup that includes its flagship models, such as the Santa Fe, Creta Grand, Venue, Creta, Kona Electric, Palisade, IONIQ 5, and Accent.
