Ford has opened a state-of-the-art Parts Distribution Center in Dubai South, aiming to elevate customer satisfaction across the Middle East.
The new distribution center can accommodate over 100,000 parts.
It features cutting-edge inventory management technology and plans for solar panel installation.
Built in collaboration with DB Schenker, a leading global logistics provider.
The center covers a vast area of 41,792 square meters and was completed within a year of its initiation. This achievement highlights Ford's commitment to customer support as it expands its presence in the Middle East.

The primary objective of this facility is to boost operational efficiency. Ford aims to expedite spare parts delivery to customers while optimizing inventory management. With a storage capacity of around 100,000 parts, it is set to serve multiple Middle Eastern markets, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Ghana, and Angola.
Equipped with advanced technologies like drones for inventory monitoring and an SAP S/4HANA warehouse management system, the center ensures greater accuracy and minimizes errors. Ford customers can look forward to faster and more dependable services thanks to this state-of-the-art facility.
Ford underscores its dedication to sustainability with the development of its new Parts Distribution Center in Dubai South. By 2025, the company intends to install a 400kW solar panel system, reducing energy costs by 35% and cutting carbon emissions by 290 tons per year. The facility also partners with environmentally conscious suppliers and recycling services to promote responsible waste management.
Ford's new project incorporates safety measures such as raised floors to mitigate risks like flooding. It is also equipped with an advanced fire suppression system to ensure minimal operational disruptions.
Kay Hart, President of Ford International Markets Group, emphasized the significance of the new PDC, highlighting its role in reducing customer waiting times and enhancing service quality. This launch underscores Ford's commitment to the Middle East.

Ako Djaf, Vice President of DB Schenker for the Middle East and Africa, praised the Dubai South facility as a testament to innovation and collaboration. He noted its impact on streamlining the supply chain, supporting Ford's service excellence, and advancing sustainability goals.
