According to the BMW Group, the BMW Vision Neue Klasse X will be an electric SUV, referred to as a Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV). If everything goes as planned, BMW aims to introduce the new BMW Vision Neue Klasse X by 2025. In recent years, the brand's focus on electric vehicle (EV) platforms has garnered attention.
The BMW Vision Neue Klasse X will feature sustainable materials, advanced design principles, and cutting-edge technologies, setting it apart from BMW's current lineup. Production of these new BMW electric vehicles (EVs) is planned in Debrecen, Hungary, aiming to blend BMW's "Sheer Driving Pleasure" philosophy with individual mobility.

Oliver Zipse, Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG, emphasized the significance of the BMW Vision Neue Klasse X, stating that it represents the diverse future lineup of BMW models. He highlighted that the Neue Klasse embodies the evolving customer preferences for sporty sedans and modern SAVs, redefining the BMW brand and promising to deliver the quintessential BMW experience.
The BMW Vision Neue Klasse X prototype follows the debut of the BMW Vision Neue Klasse sedan at the IAA Mobility 2023 event. BMW aims to replicate the success of its previous SAVs with this upcoming model. The next-generation BMW Vision Neue Klasse X will showcase exterior design elements emphasizing dynamism and sportiness, aligning with the brand's identity.

As per the BMW Group, the BMW Neue Klasse integrates electric, digital, and circular aspects. This includes features such as BMW iDrive, BMW eDrive technology, and the brand's comprehensive manufacturing concept covering production, operations, disassembly, and recycling. The new BMW EVs are powered by advanced in-house programming that manages all active functions in these vehicles.

Frank Weber, a member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, succinctly explains the Neue Klasse philosophy. He emphasizes that it signifies BMW's advancement in driving experience. Weber highlights the development of four new super-brains, high-performance computers that integrate various functions previously handled separately. These super-brains enhance powertrain integration, driving dynamics, and automated driving capabilities. The goal is to achieve greater performance, precision, efficiency, and driving enjoyment.
The BMW Vision Neue Klasse X's exterior design may vary depending on the model, potentially featuring a raised ground clearance, short front and rear overhangs, and a spacious interior with large windows and a panoramic glass roof. Inside, expect warm color tones, along with features like BMW Panoramic Vision, BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, BMW 3D Head-Up Display, an integrated front Central Display, and multicolor LED ambient lighting.

The BMW Vision Neue Klasse X is expected to utilize an 800-volt system coupled with the brand's eDrive technology, enabling it to achieve 300 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes of charging, providing a 30 percent charging advantage compared to some other models. Additionally, its exterior design contributes to a 20 percent reduction in drag coefficient, further extending the range by 30 percent.
The BMW Vision Neue Klasse X represents a significant step forward in BMW's electric vehicle lineup, incorporating advanced technologies and innovative design elements. With its emphasis on sustainability, performance, and cutting-edge features, it aims to redefine the driving experience for future BMW owners. As BMW continues to push the boundaries of electric mobility, the Vision Neue Klasse X signals an exciting future for the brand and its commitment to innovation in the automotive industry.
