It will be the largest car market in the world, covering over 20 million square feet.
The market will have space for over 6,000 cars on display.
It will also feature showrooms, service centers, and other car-related businesses.
The project is expected to be completed by 2026.
Dubai is set to build the world’s largest car market, covering over 20 million square feet. The new 'Dubai Car Market' will include new and used car dealerships, showrooms, automotive businesses, and large event spaces. This development will transform car buying and selling in the UAE, making Dubai a global hub for car enthusiasts and automotive businesses.
On July 4, 2024, under the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Municipality and DP World signed a deal to create this massive car market.

The Ruler of Dubai stated, “We have tasked DP World with developing the Dubai Car Market, expanding it eight times to a 20 million square foot facility, making it the world's largest and most advanced car market. This market will be linked to 77 ports managed by DP World globally, boosting its capacity and doubling its current sales of AED 6.8 billion ($1.85 billion).”
Dubai is famous for its luxurious and high-performance cars, but its car market is much more diverse. It includes value-for-money Chinese cars, rugged SUVs, and entry-level vehicles, making it unique globally. The new Dubai car market will enhance this diverse landscape.
Currently, the largest car market in the Middle East and North Africa is the Sharjah Car Market, known as Souq Al Haraj, with over 415 showrooms and 25,000+ cars for sale. In Dubai, the Ras Al Khor auto market and Ducamz free zone together have over 500 showrooms and several accessory shops.

The new car market in Dubai will be the largest and most advanced in the world. With its prime location and modern facilities, it aims to attract car manufacturers, dealers, service providers, and auto enthusiasts.
The new Dubai car market will include showrooms, auction houses, service centers, and spaces for innovation and technology. Its unparalleled infrastructure and business opportunities are expected to draw key automotive industry players.
This project aligns with Dubai’s broader economic goals, creating thousands of jobs and stimulating significant economic activity. The market will feature smart parking, advanced logistics, and eco-friendly initiatives, like EV infrastructure.
DP World, an Emirati multinational shipping and logistics company, operates 78 marine and inland terminals. With Dubai as an export hub for cars, the new market will benefit from DP World's logistical expertise.

This landmark project will cater to the local and regional automotive markets and establish Dubai as a key player in the global automotive industry. With its unmatched size, advanced facilities, and strategic location, the new Dubai car market is set to become a leading hub for the future of automotive trade and technology.
Dubai's new car market promises to revolutionize the automotive trade with cutting-edge facilities and global connectivity. It aims to attract industry leaders and drive economic growth, solidifying Dubai's position as a pivotal player in the global automotive sector.
