The inaugural launch of the U7 is set to take place in China during the latter part of 2024.
The U7 comes with a price tag starting at approximately ¥1 million, equivalent to about AED 300,400.
The race for supremacy in the electric vehicle market is intensifying with each passing day. The most recent addition to this sector is the U7 sedan, the latest innovation from BYD's upscale brand Yangwang. BYD's ambitious launch of the U7 sedan within its high-end Yangwang brand signifies a daring move forward.
BYD's latest top-tier sedan, equipped with over 1,000 horsepower, is set to compete with the performance features of well-established counterparts in the luxury electric vehicle segment. The U7 is slated for its debut in China in the latter part of 2024. This four-door car is built upon BYD's e4 platform, which also serves as the underlying structure for the U9 supercar and the Yangwang U8 SUV.

The U7's design takes cues from the U9, featuring C-shaped headlamps and a 0.195Cd drag coefficient. Resembling other BYD models, its exterior is expected to measure around 2,000mm in width and 5,200mm in length, accommodating wheels as large as 21 inches.
Yangwang disclosed on its WeChat channel that the U7 achieves an impressive power output surpassing 1,000 horsepower, derived from its four electric motors. Information regarding the powertrain remains undisclosed, leaving it uncertain whether the U7 will incorporate a purely electric system or a range-extender powertrain, similar to the U9 or U8.
Priced at approximately ¥1 million (equivalent to around AED 300,400.38), the U7 holds the position of the high-performance flagship within Yangwang's product lineup.
Today, BYD is known to be the best-selling battery EV manufacturer in the world. The U7 sedan testifies to BYD’s relentless commitment to shaping an eco-friendly transportation future worldwide.
