The new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé features a more stylish design compared to its previous model, moving away from its round shape. While it may be pricier than the X1 crossover and rear-drive 2 Series coupe, it has a more attractive exterior.
The updated interior, improved driving options, upgraded tech features, and enhanced suspension make it an appealing choice in the subcompact sedan category.

The new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé has a sporty design with a strong rear, sleek shape, and bold front. It features a wide grille, large air intake, and LED headlights with vertical running lights. The side view shows a muscular shoulder and smooth roofline, while the back has modern exhausts and flat lights.
The car comes in different finishes and is 20 mm longer, with a width of 1,800 mm, length of 4,546 mm, and height of 1,445 mm.

The new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé has a leather-free interior with Veganza/Alcantara trim. It features a new gear selector and BMW Curved Display for a modern look.
The seats are designed for comfort, with options like M sports and sports seats that offer massage and heating. The rear seats have a 40:20:40 split, and most versions offer about 430 liters of storage space.

The top BMW M235 xDrive Gran Coupé features a 300 hp 4-cylinder engine, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. It has a fuel consumption of 7.5-8.2 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 170–185 g/km.
For better racetrack performance, it includes an M Technology package with 19-inch forged wheels, lightweight construction, and an M compound brake system for improved stopping power.
To enhance comfort and handling, it features adaptive M suspension with variable shock absorbers, lowering the car by up to 8 mm and reducing pressure peaks. The adaptive suspension is also available as part of the optional M Sport package.

The new BMW 220i Gran Coupé is available with advanced 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, offering 170 hp and fuel efficiency of 5.8–5.2 l/100 km. The 220d version produces 163 hp with 4.6–4.2 l/100 km, and the 218d generates 150 hp. All models feature a 7-speed Steptronic transmission and 48-volt mild hybrid technology.
The car also has improved handling with updated chassis and body design for better steering precision. It includes new shock absorbers, optimized kinematics, and wheel slip control. Standard wheels are 17-inch alloy, with the M Sport package offering Adaptive M suspension, larger wheels, and sports steering.
The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé is equipped with advanced driver assistance systems. Standard features include Lane Departure Warning and collision warnings, with optional upgrades like Lane Control, Steering Assistance, and Parking Assistant Professional, allowing remote control of parking via the My BMW app.

The new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé comes with a wide range of standard features, including BMW Live Cockpit Plus. Optional packages like the Innovation package add Parking Assistant Plus and BMW Live Cockpit Professional, while the Premium package includes Adaptive LED headlights and wireless charging. Additional options include a panoramic sunroof, 2-zone automatic climate control, and a Harman Kardon audio system.
BMW iDrive, based on the BMW Operating System 9, offers easy vehicle control with QuickSelect. The cockpit supports touch, steering wheel buttons, and voice control. BMW ConnectedDrive services allow updates for navigation, entertainment, and more, and remote software upgrades enable smartphone integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Production of the new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé will take place at the BMW Group’s Leipzig plant, with the market launch expected in March 2025.
