Chinese automaker BAIC, in collaboration with Al Shaali Moto, has introduced the 2025 BJ30 compact off-road SUV in the UAE. This second-generation model, unveiled globally earlier this year, boasts a fresh design, upgraded interior features, and a hybrid powertrain. The 2025 BJ30 is available in three trims, starting at AED 94,000.

The BAIC BJ30 comes with two engine choices. The base LV2 and mid-level LV3 variants feature a naturally aspirated petrol engine, while the top-tier LV5 trim is equipped with a high-performance petrol-hybrid powertrain. Below are the performance details:

The 2024 BAIC BJ30 showcases a blend of rugged off-road design and contemporary styling. Its front sports BAIC’s iconic five-hole grille paired with angular LED headlights for a stylish, glasses-like look. Unpainted bumpers and skid plates emphasize its adventurous nature.
The side profile highlights a boxy shape with glossy black fenders and a floating roof design created by black trim on the C-pillar. Depending on the variant, the SUV comes with 18-inch or 19-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, vertically stacked LED tail lights and skid plates maintain its rugged off-road aesthetic.
The interior of the 2024 BAIC BJ30 blends modern tech with practical elements, offering a comfortable and functional cabin. It has a five-seater layout with generous legroom and headroom, thanks to its larger dimensions compared to the previous model.
The interior features high-quality materials like soft-touch surfaces and premium upholstery for added comfort. The rear seats fold down to expand cargo space up to 1,496 litres, making it easy to carry larger items or even set up for travel or adventure. AI-assisted voice commands control various functions, boosting convenience and safety for the driver.
The new BJ30 enters the competitive compact SUV market, competing against models like the Jetour T2, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max, Exeed TXL, Nissan X-Trail, and Toyota RAV4. However, the BJ30 stands out with its feature-packed design and efficient hybrid engine, which some of its rivals lack.
Bookings for the BAIC BJ30 are now open at the BAIC showroom in Deira, Dubai, as well as on the brand's official website. Along with the BJ30 launch, BAIC UAE has revealed plans to open two new showrooms, one in Abu Dhabi and another in Al Ain. Deliveries of the BAIC BJ30 are expected to start in February 2025.
