As part of expanding the portfolio of its new Audi A6, the German luxury car manufacturer has announced two plug-in hybrid models that blend maximum efficiency and superior comfort with powerful performance. The new Audi A6 comprises the A6 Avant e-hybrid quattro and the A6 Sedan e-hybrid quattro, and each is available in two power levels, 220 kW and 270 kW.

Audi has equipped these new A6 models with its latest high-voltage battery with 45% more capacity than previous versions. These plug-in hybrid Audi cars have 25.9 kWh (net 20.7 kWh) of power for electric driving.
Adding plug-in hybrid models in the A6 lineup will offer customers more flexibility and efficiency as it combines the best electric driving with a combustion engine's advantage. The customers can choose between Avant and Sedan; both options have a long wheelbase, elongated hood, and wide track, ensuring a powerful and distinct appearance.

The A6 Sedan e-hybrid quattro has an elegant design with a sweeping curve of the window's upper edge, while the Avant offers a dynamic look with its more sculpted rear end, flanking aerodynamics, and roof edge spoiler. Both models have a strong road presence thanks to their striking rear lights, wide light strip, and Audi rings on the high end.
Whether customers consider the Audi A6 Avant e-hybrid quattro or the Audi A6 Sedan e-hybrid quattro, they have two power levels. The vehicles get a 2.0 TFSI engine capable of producing 252 PS and a single electric motor that has a power capacity of 105 kW.

In a version with 270 kW and 500 Nm torque, the new Audi A6 Avant and Sedan can sprint 0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds. The 220 kW and 450 Nm torque options accelerate the Avant and Sedan 0-100 km/h in 6 seconds. Both options have a top speed of 250 km/h.
Additionally, the Audi has offered a 25.9 kWh battery capacity, 45% up from its predecessor, allowing the new A6 Sedan and Avant to deliver 100 km of pure electric drive. With the maximum AC charging of 11kW, the battery can be charged 0-100% in 2.5 hours.
There are two operating modes for the divers: EV and Hybrid. In EV mode, the plug-in hybrid can drive on electric power, while the hybrid mode maintains specific charge levels to save electrical energy for later use.
In Germany, the A6 Sedan e-hybrid quattro is priced at €65,800 (approx AED 272,675), while the A6 Avant e-hybrid quattro is available at €68,300 (approx AED 283,000). For a higher power level with 270kW, the prices for the A6 Sedan go up to €77050 (approx AED 319,300) and €77550 (approx AED 321,300) for the A6 Avant.
The new Audi A6 plug-in hybrid models are available in Germany and are expected to arrive in global markets, including the UAE, in the coming months.
