Aston Martin has globally unveiled the DB12 S, a more powerful version of the standard DB12 grand tourer. The new Aston Martin DB12 S gets additional power, an updated chassis, and some aerodynamic refinements. The new model further elevates the brand’s long-running S tradition, which has been used for the top-performing version in the lineup.

Under the hood, the DB12 S gets Aston Martin’s 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, making up to 690 bhp of power output and 800 Nm of torque. As a result, the luxury grand tourer accelerates 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and achieves a top speed of 325 km/h. To maintain the performance efficiency and driving comfort, the brand has revised gearbox calibration for quicker gear shifts and now claims to offer 50% faster shifts and better throttle response.

The launch control system has also been upgraded for better traction and acceleration. Other changes include a redesigned exhaust system with a quad-tailpipe with an optional titanium exhaust system, which is 11.7 kg lighter and slightly louder than 1.5dB. The engine unit comes mated with an 8-speed automatic transmission and an RWD drive system.
Additionally, Aston Martin has retuned Bilstein DTX dampers for improved roll control, a stiffer rear anti-roll bar, and enhanced suspension geometry. The supercar features 410 mm in front and 360 mm in rear Carbon Ceramic Brakes that minimize unsprung mass by 27kg compared to conventional steel brakes. There is a new Corner Braking Control system to maintain stability during trail braking and cornering.
While the exterior looks almost identical to the standard Aston Martin DB12, the more powerful version gets subtle aerodynamic and styling tunings like a dual-element front splitter and new bonnet louvers. Gloss black side sills and discreet “S” badge, and fixed spoiler with broader diffuser accommodate the staked exhaust. Interior design and features are also similar to the existing top model of standard DB12, with some distinctive touches.
It gets 16-way Sport Plus seats with optional Carbon Fiber Performance seats for lighter weight, and three themes, including Accelerate, Inspire S (semi-aniline + Alcantara), and Inspire S (full semi-aniline leather), each with S-specific badging and elements.
Aston Martin has revealed that the DB12 S grand tourer will be available in both coupe and volante (convertible) versions, with deliveries expected to commence in 2026.
