Al-Futtaim's Vision For A Sustainable Future Electrifies COP28

Al-Futtaim Group made a strong impression at COP28, demonstrating their commitment to environmentally friendly transportation. Al-Futtaim Group found the ideal venue to present their ground-breaking sustainability initiatives and reaffirm their dedication to cleaner mobility during the global event, which was held at Expo City Dubai until December 12, 2023.

The 360 New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), 8 electric buses, and cutting-edge Charge2Moov EV charging stations that Al-Futtaim Automotive exhibited were truly impressive. By 2030, 10% of the UAE's charging stations and 50% of NEVs are expected to be provided by the flagship division of the Al-Futtaim Group. The UAE's Net Zero Strategic initiative is in line with this objective.

From passenger cars to construction equipment to e-scooters, the Al-Futtaim stand at COP28 displayed the company's wide range of electric models. Displayed on the stand were the Polestar 3, BYD HAN, River Indie electric two-wheeler, the brand-new Volvo ECR25 Electric Compact Excavator, and Charge2Moov charging stations.

In addition to all of this, partners, industry leaders, and sustainability specialists convened at panel conferences that the Al-Futtaim Group arranged on the Green Zone stage and the Al-Futtaim Stand to talk about decarbonization in their respective fields of expertise.

Paul Willis, President of Al-Futtaim Automotive, gave a brief overview of the company's initiatives to create an integrated electric mobility ecosystem during the opening ceremony. The goal is to increase the accessibility of electric vehicles and promote the widespread use of sustainable driving practices.
