UAE launch anticipated in 2027 with pricing expected to remain competitive.
Toyota is preparing a significant update for its popular Innova Hycross, and the latest spy shots suggest the facelifted model will arrive with a much bolder look. The refreshed MPV has been spotted testing ahead of its expected global debut next year, revealing styling cues borrowed from the latest Toyota Hilux pickup truck.
As one of Toyota’s most practical family vehicles, the Innova Hycross has gained popularity in the UAE for its spacious cabin, comfort, and reliability. The upcoming facelift aims to strengthen that appeal with a more premium design and enhanced technology.
The biggest visual change appears at the front. Despite heavy camouflage, the test vehicle reveals sleeker LED headlights, a redesigned grille, and a sharper bumper design that closely resembles Toyota’s latest Hilux and RAV4 models.
The updated styling gives the MPV a more rugged SUV-like appearance while maintaining its family-friendly practicality. At the rear, revised LED taillights and a redesigned bumper are expected to modernize the overall look further.
While the side profile remains largely unchanged, Toyota could introduce new alloy wheel designs to differentiate the facelift from the current model.
Toyota is also expected to make notable improvements inside the cabin. Reports suggest the facelifted Innova Hycross will receive a larger infotainment display with updated software and enhanced connectivity features.
Potential interior upgrades may include:
Powered second-row seats
Ventilated captain seats
Extended thigh support
Electric sun blinds
Additional soft-touch materials
Improved cabin quality and refinement
These additions would help position the Innova Hycross as a more premium option in the growing family MPV segment.
Under the hood, Toyota is unlikely to make major mechanical changes. The current UAE-spec model is powered by a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a CVT transmission, while several international markets also receive a 2.0-litre hybrid powertrain.
The facelift is expected to retain these proven powertrains, focusing instead on design, comfort, and technology upgrades.
Toyota may also expand its safety package with additional driver-assistance features such as:
Enhanced collision avoidance systems
High-beam assist
Cornering lights
Updated Toyota Safety Sense technologies
Toyota is expected to unveil the Innova Hycross facelift globally in 2027 before rolling it out to key markets, including the GCC region. Given the model’s popularity among UAE families and fleet operators, a regional launch is likely to follow soon after the global debut.
With current UAE pricing starting from AED 126,900, the updated model is expected to remain competitively positioned while offering a more premium ownership experience.
The upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift looks set to be much more than a simple cosmetic update. With a tougher Hilux-inspired design, upgraded technology, enhanced comfort features, and Toyota’s trusted reliability, the refreshed MPV could become one of the most attractive family vehicles in the UAE when it arrives next year.
