Zeekr launches the 9X full-size electric SUV featuring yacht-inspired design, roof LiDAR with Nvidia Thor chips, and a 17-inch rear cinema screen.
Zeekr has introduced the 9X, a full-size electric SUV that aims to set a new standard in luxury. The 9X features yacht-inspired design, advanced sensor technology, and a cinema-grade rear entertainment system. Designed in Sweden by Stefan Sielaff and his team in Gothenburg, the 9X emphasizes light, space, and refined details.
The Zeekr 9X stands out with a sweeping D-pillar finished in matte satin chrome, echoing the roofline of a luxury yacht. The vehicle features Star Diamond Matrix Lighting, delivering 1.3 million pixels and 1,800 lumens, with projection capability up to 150 inches. The SUV rides on 22-inch wheels, available in multiple designs, including forged monoblock options. A Black Pack offers high-gloss black accents on the grille, D-pillar, and other exterior elements. With a long wheelbase, the 9X provides substantial cabin space, especially for second-row passengers. Its full-size footprint distinguishes it from smaller crossovers.
The 9X's interior focuses on long-distance comfort. It offers a 2+2+2 six-seat layout, with massaging front seats and a dedicated rear-seat cinema screen. The front seats are 12-way power adjustable, featuring memory, massage, ventilation, heating, and a 4D mode. The co-pilot seats are 6-way power adjustable, with memory and powered leg rests. Upholstery options include premium Nappa leather in Charcoal Black or Caramel Brown & Moonglade Blue.
Rear passengers can enjoy a 17-inch 3K OLED screen that deploys from the ceiling and glides forward up to 88 centimeters. The sound system includes 32 Naim Premium Audiophile speakers, providing an immersive audio experience throughout the cabin.
The Zeekr 9X incorporates advanced sensor and display hardware. A roof-mounted LiDAR system works with Nvidia Drive Thor chips to provide real-time spatial awareness, supporting navigation in poor weather and on narrow, lane-less roads. The vehicle offers three standard driving modes—Comfort, Economy, and Sport—plus seven terrain modes for varied conditions.
These features position the 9X alongside other sensor-heavy SUVs, such as the Volvo ES90, which also emphasizes driver assistance technology. Comparisons can also be drawn with the Kaiyi X7, which brings premium interior details to more accessible SUVs.
The Zeekr 9X supports its "new class of luxury" claim with substantial features, genuine dimensions, and advanced technology. However, UAE-specific availability and pricing details have not yet been confirmed. Prospective buyers should consult Zeekr directly for the latest updates on local release and specifications.
