The Zeekr 7X sets a Guinness World Record for the tightest electric car drift gap, maneuvering through a 25 cm clearance at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
The Zeekr 7X has set a new Guinness World Records™ title for the tightest gap passed through while drifting an electric car. The vehicle achieved this feat by passing through a gap with only 25 centimetres of clearance. The official record attempt took place at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, highlighting the Zeekr 7X’s precision, stability, and dynamic control.
The record demonstrates the advanced capabilities of Zeekr’s intelligent electric vehicle platform. The Zeekr 7X’s performance relies on advanced chassis engineering and intelligent vehicle control systems. Its front double wishbone suspension ensures precise steering and responsiveness, translating driver inputs into accurate movement. The rear electric motor delivers high output and instant torque, allowing for smooth, sustained drifts and fine directional adjustments through throttle control.
The vehicle’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) provides strong body rigidity and a low centre of gravity. These features enhance stability, balance, and driver confidence during extreme driving conditions. The record attempt was a central part of Zeekr’s global celebrations for its fifth anniversary.
