The XPENG GX is powered by a Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) system combining a 1.5L turbocharged petrol generator with dual electric motors. The engine generates electricity rather than driving the wheels directly.
Performance
The SUV offers a 310km pure-electric range and an impressive 1,240km combined driving range, making it suitable for both city commuting and long-distance travel.
The GX features an 800V electrical architecture paired with a 63.3kWh liquid-cooled battery.
Measuring 5,265mm long with a 3,115mm wheelbase, the SUV is larger than the Mercedes-Benz GLS, BMW X7 and Audi Q8. Buyers can choose from Arctic White, Midnight Black, Fjord Grey, Desert Gold Matte and Cloud Realm finishes, while Nappa leather interiors are offered in Purple, Brown and Grey.
Inside, the six-seat cabin focuses on premium comfort. The right-side second-row passenger receives a zero-gravity seat with reclining, leg rest, cushion adjustment and sliding functions. Additional highlights include 16-way electric adjustment, 16-point massage, ventilation, electric armrest and integrated safety systems. The third row folds flat to maximise cargo space.
Technology includes a 17.3-inch touchscreen, 8.8-inch driver display, 88-inch AR head-up display, 21.4-inch 3K rear entertainment screen and a 33-speaker sound system. Other features include AI Digital Projection Headlights, adaptive driving beam, powered soft-close doors with radar protection, digital rear-view mirror, welcome step and 7-button UWB smart key.
Safety equipment includes 11 airbags, run-flat tyres and advanced driver assistance. The Ultra model offers Blind Spot Detection, Door Open Warning and Intelligent High Beam, while the GCC-spec Flagship adds features such as AEB, Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Steering, Lane Keeping systems, Driver Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and 700mm Wading Mode.
